Bill Morrison
Bill Morrison’s films have been shown at museums, festivals and cinematheques worldwide. In concert halls, they have accompanied the music of John Adams, Gavin Bryars, Michael Gordon, Henryk Gorecki, Bill Frisell, David Lang, Steve Reich, Todd Reynolds, Julia Wolfe, and Wilco. Bill is a Guggenheim fellow, and has received the Alpert Award. His work with Ridge Theater has been recognized with two Bessie awards and an Obie award. “Decasia”, his feature-length collaboration with composer Michael Gordon, was called “the most widely acclaimed American avant-garde film of the fin-de-siècle.” (J.
