Bob McGrath

(Director) is Artistic Director of Ridge Theater. He has directed and staged all of Ridge's productions since its inception in 1987. McGrath is a two time OBIE winner. Receiving awards for Sustained Excellence and most recently for Best Production 1999 The Carbon Copy Building. McGrath most recently directed a New York Premiere of Mac Wellman's Hypatia at SoHo Rep. In March a workshop of Mac Wellman's Jennie Richee a play about the life and art of outsider artist Henry Darger, was presented at Art at St. Ann's in Brooklyn and is scheduled for premiere in January 2001 at The Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. April 1999, he premiered an adaptation of the Robert Coover novella Charlie in the House of Rue at The American Repertory Theater. Other directing credits include: Susan Sontag's American Premiere of Alice in Bed at The American Repertory Theater, and the opera Chaos by Mathew Maguire and Michael Gordon at The Kitchen in New York.
