Thurston Moore
Thurston Moore, a member of the critically acclaimed art/punk rock band Sonic Youth, has been involved in numerous side projects including composing for the Bang on a Can All-Stars. Along with carrying Sonic Youth into the 2000s, Moore collaborated with scores of underground musicians including DJ Spooky, Lydia Lunch, William Hooker, Christian Marclay, Mike Watt, Loren Mazzacane Connors, Nels Cline, and R.E.M. He also wrote music reviews and issued a book: “Mix Tape: The Arts of Cassette Culture” in addition to running the Ecstatic Peace! record label.
