Tony Boutte

Tenor Tony Boutté is widely praised for his work in opera and oratorio from the Baroque, through the present, performing with such groups as Les Arts Florissants, Les Talens Lyriques, Santa Fe Opera, Tafelmusik, Portland Baroque Orchestra, Boston Baroque and Orchestra of St. Luke's. Recent performances include Handel's Acis and Galatea with Les Arts Florissants, Rameau's Pygmalion with Concert Royal and Bach's St. Matthew Passion with Smithsonian Chamber Orchestra. Upcoming projects include Campra¹s Te Deum conducted by Hervé Niquet and a recording project with Christophe Rousset and Les Talens Lyriques in Paris. Tony also enjoys a growing career as an interpreter of new music, performing in six world premieres in the past four years. Tony has recorded Bach's St. John Passion with Smithsonian Chamber Orchestra and the soundtrack for Out of the Past.
