NOW Ensemble
NOW Ensemble debuted in 2003 as a group focused on showcasing works by young composers. NOW has developed a reputation for their unique sounds, energetic performances to packed crows in New York, and a broad appeal to audiences of wildly different tastes. The seven members of NOW are a mix of composers and performers and made up of Alex Sopp on flute, Sara Philips on clarinet, Mark Dancigers on electric guitar, Peter Rosenfeld on double bass, Michael Mizrahi on piano, Patrick Burke, and Judd Greenstein. For repertoire, the group relies on the creation of new music for the ensemble, making composers and composition an integrated part of every performance and forming an entirely new body of work.
