The New Music Ensemble at Grand Valley State University is a contemporary group founded in 2006 by its director Bill Ryan. From landmark compositions of the Twentieth Century, to the most recent works of this new century, the ensemble performs an incredible variety of music. Recent projects include commissioning and premiering 240 Weeks by Marc Mellits and recording Steve Reich’s masterpiece Music for 18 Musicians for release on Innova recordings.
