Haven't Been Where I Left was commissioned for the All-Stars by the Mary Flagler Cary Trust. The piece saw its world premiere at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis MN in April of 2005. The New York premiere of the piece was given at the 2006 People's Commissioning Fund Concert, February 2006 at Merkin Hall.
