Bang on a Can

I met Robert Black in Buffalo in 1985. In our first conversation we talked about songs and in the process realized that we were the same age and grew up listening to the same tunes. Paint It Black, a title of a Rolling Stones song, is one of them. There is no direct musical connection between the two. Rather, the title is meant to be a tribute to Robert.
