When one evening of freshly composed music just isn't enough - when even an afternoon and an evening aren't enough - it's time for the Bang-on-a-Can Marathon to return after a three-year absence. Come in, pay nothing, stay awhile, leave and return at will: This is how music ought to be heard. This year's edition is conceived on a grand scale. Anthony Braxton's piece for an orchestra of 100 tubas promises to be unmissable: Even Hoboken residents will hear it. Then there's Yat-Kha, described as "the Tuvan throat-singing punk band from Siberia." Say no more.
